The first I heard of Agumbe is in Rajkumar’s (Kannada matinee star) song in Akasmika - “Agumbeya prema sanjaya…”. As the song goes that is exactly what Agumbe is famous for - it’s sunset. The sunset when viewed from the hills of Agumbe is beautiful. This is supposedly because the Arabian sea deviates the light to give brilliant colours. However, it was cloudy when I visited and the sunset was no great shakes.
