I have been to Mangalore before and seen the beaches (which are wonderful). I mainly came to Mangalore to see F1 on TV. However, for some reason the whole of Mangalore had no pay channels at all (not a temporary phenomenon - they have not been having them for atleast 3 months) and hence I had to move on to Udupi. The only I place of interest I saw near the hotel I was staying was the Milagres Church. The original was built 300 years ago, but, destroyed. This was re-built in 1911.
