Sharpen Problem-solving Skills
BACKGROUND
If the complexities in the 1990s were
any indication, supervision in Workplace -2000s will be much more
demanding. Front-line Executives will perform their vital managerial roles
under increasingly more complex circumstances. They will be expected to

to satisfy their customers better.
As 'keystones in the organisational
arches' , supervisors will need to develop better human relation skills
in order to mobilise the efforts of their associates, who will be better
educated / specialised. Further sharpening of their problem-solving skills
will enable them to perform superbly.
Supervisory leadership styles will have
to be more caring, enabling, inspiring and sharing, so as to align the
workforce better with the Unit-goals and to evolve a customer-focussed
value-adding work-culture.
